APRS Route of Olympic Torch

Bob Bruninga, WB4APR, US Naval Academy Satellite Lab, Annapolis, MD

Amateur Radio Operators nationwide were ready and willing to track the olympic torch run all across the USA in 1996. We built a complete torch with GPS and 1 watt VHF radio inside for tracking. But due to commerical interests, however, this volunteer grass roots effort was prohibited from transmitting the GPS data via amateur radio. The following was the route of the Torch.
